Meet Doug
Doug is an Army veteran and a graduate of The United States Military Academy at West Point, where he learned the importance of service, integrity, and responsibility. Those values have shaped every chapter of his life, from military service to business leadership to decades of community involvement.
Georgetown has been home to Doug and his family for more than twenty years. Since moving here in 2003, Doug and his wife, Kasie, have raised their four children in the community they love. Georgetown is where they work, serve, worship, and invest in the next generation.
As a local business owner and Certified Financial Planner®, Doug understands the importance of wise stewardship and long-term planning. He brings a practical, thoughtful approach to decision-making, always focused on doing what is best for families and taxpayers.
Doug has spent more than 20 years serving Georgetown in volunteer and leadership roles, including Planning and Zoning Commissioner, Georgetown Transportation Enhancement Corporation, Georgetown Economic Development Corporation, Board Chair of Grace Academy, and the Georgetown 2030 Strategic Planning Committee. These roles have given him deep insight into how growth, infrastructure, and development affect real people and neighborhoods.
Doug believes growth should strengthen Georgetown, not erase it, and he cares deeply about preserving the charm of our historic square and the character that makes this city unique.
Doug is running for City Council because he truly loves Georgetown, and believes we can grow well. With strong public safety, reliable infrastructure, and thoughtful development, our city can move forward without losing the character and values that make it home. He would be honored to serve District 2 and continue giving back to the city that has given so much to his family.
